Awesome Lightning Sculpture By Jim Sanborn

American artist Jim Sanborn has constructed a formidable status for heady light sculptures that engage mystery notes, ciphers, and puzzles. He has installed works all over the world, and today we will show one of Sanborn’s amazing work – an incised copper and granite part titled A,A which lights up the plaza in front of the new library at the University of Houston. Made mostly of copper and bronze, the sculpture is comprised of snippets of verses, books and prose from dialects from all over the world, encompassing Arabic, Russian, Spanish and Chinese. At evening a lightweight weight inside polishes through lighting the letters on the partitions and ground. Such a spectacular brandish of dialects.
